This heartfelt pastel honours Indigenous dance, remembrance, and the generations who came before us. The vibrant orange represents the Every Child Matters movement, remembering the children who were taken from their families and those who never came home from residential schools.
The flowing regalia and movement of the dancer symbolize carrying our culture, loved ones, ancestors, and stories with us into the circle. We dance to honour those who have passed, to celebrate who we are today, and to keep our traditions alive for the generations to come.
We dance for ourselves. We dance for those who came before us. And we dance for those who never made it home.
